Zoo Trip

I had quite an extensive list of things that I wanted to get accomplished this summer.  The final thing that I wanted to do was to take Kyra to the zoo.  Since Bart works on Saturdays and we are running out of time before the baby arrives, we decided to go on Sunday.  It was pretty hot, but we had a great time.  We got to watch the dolphin show, feed the giraffe, pet the sharks, and see lots and lots of animals.  Kyra says her favorite animal was the lion because he looked like Simba from the Lion King.  Bart enjoyed the tigers.  He had on orange and white stripes and the lion did not care for that.  Every time Bart would come up to the window, the tiger would charge at us.  He even started gnawing on the wood to try to get out.  I think Bart was a little scared!!  All in all it was a fun time and a nice time with just Kyra before the baby comes!

Baby Leman

Here is a new picturs of Baby Leman.  Unfortunately, I had to have an ultrasound this last week because the baby is breech.  I am currently scheduled for a C section on August 2 unless the baby decides to flip.  I am nervous and disappointed, but I know it is what is best for the baby.  We just want a healthy baby!!  Again, the baby was being stubborn and the tech couldn't get a great picture.  She was trying to get a 3D shot, but we must be having a stubborn baby!  Must be the Leman in him or her!

It's "potty" time!

I think that I can officially say that Kyra is diaper free....well for the most part.  It's been a bit of a challenge and has tested my patience, but I think I can successfully say that we met this goal for the summer.  She still has accidents every once in awhile, but the last couple of weeks she has done really well.  We are still putting a pull up on her at night, but for the most part, it has been dry!!  We are excited that we will be diaper free for a couple of weeks!

I am going to the doctor once a week now and the reality is starting to set in that we are going to be a family of 4!  Bart and I went camping with our friends this weekend.  We had a really good time, but I was glad to be home to see Kyra and to be rid of my cankles.  There is nothing like AC and an elevated bed!  Well I better get busy packing my bags and getting out everything we need for Baby Leman!

Summer fun

We have had a fun, but busy summer so far!  Our days have been filled with gardening, mowing, swimming, and just having fun in the sun.  We just got back from a weekend long camping trip with my family.  We had a great time and I think Kyra may be our little camping girl.  She had tons of fun playing at the beach, boating, and sleeping in the tent.  We thought the weather was going to be crummy, but it turned out really nice.  Now we have to get back in the routine of eating a normal diet!  Here are a few pictures from our summer fun!

Kyra crashed on her daddy.  Not sure about his facial expression, but he loved cuddling with her!

Leman updates

It's been forever since I updated our blog!  Things have been a little crazy around the Leman house.  I finished school, well kind of!  I decided to start taking classes for my master's degree.  I have 2 more assignments and I will be finished with the first class.  So far, it has gone well and has been pretty easy.  I am a little disappointed that I am only 1 point away from an A+!  We have been busy with house projects, doctor appointments (only 8 more weeks), shopping trips, weddings, graduation, and tornadoes!!  We were lucky to have very minimal damage compared to some of our neighbors.  We are enjoying our summer, but are anxious to meet our new little one.  Here are some pictures since I last posted.  They are in no order and cover a wide span of time.

2 year pictures

Over spring break I took Kyra to have her 2 year pictures taken.  I was so nervous because it was scheduled for about the time she is supposed to take a nap.  Thankfully, she did a great job.  I am so happy with how they turned out.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Boy or Girl??!!

Bart and I went for our ultrasound at 7:00 Monday morning (not the smartest thinking by my part since it was the weekend we switched time.)  It is always so neat/amazing to see this in action.  This sounds crazy, but I feel like their are some pictures that look a lot like Kyra's profile  There is also one that my mom thinks the baby has my toe.  The one with the baby with his/her legs crossed cracks me up.  From the time Kyra was born, she has always crossed her legs everywhere...in the carseat, in bed, sitting in her high chair, etc.  If you can't tell, I don't like calling the baby an "it."  I've been using lots of he/she...his/her expressions.  The ultrasound informed us that my due date is now August 4 instead of August 9!!!  She said either I was due earlier or the baby was going to have really long legs!!  We have had lots of guesses about the sex of the baby.  The technician put 1 picture on our CD that showed the sex of the baby.  We aren't even sure which picture it is, but it is fun to guess and to hear everyone's predictions.  So....have fun seeing what you think.  I don't know if I included the "sex" shot in these photos or not??!!
