Summer enjoyment

We have had a busy, but fun summer so far.  Kyra went to a week of gymnastics last week and we had a Leman camping trip adventure.  We've also been busy getting our new camper ready for all of our camping trips this summer.  I never thought I would own a camper, but with 2 kids it is so much easier!  We love it so far.  We have another trip planned this weekend!  Here are some pics of our summer so far.

Although there weren't any pictures that I didn't like, here are a few of my favorites from Ryder's 9 month pictures taken by Gina.  Ryder is super active right now so I was not expecting much from these pictures.  He did great.  He was such a ham.  He was full of mouth open, tooth bearing, wide eyed smiles.  He is a fun loving, extremely energetic, in to everything, busy little boy.  I can't wait to spend the summer with him and Kyra.

Spring updates

I have decided that I have been a pathetic blog poster.  Life gets busy, I guess!  So, here are some updates from the past 2 months.  We decided to go on a mini spring break trip.  We took the kids to stay a couple of night in Lafayette.  We had fun swimming, shopping, and going out to eat.  Ryder is going to be such a little fish this summer.  We enjoyed Easter with our family.  Kyra really enjoyed hunting for her basket and the Easter egg hunt.  Ryder was just excited about eating the snacks in his basket.  Today was nice so we decided to fly Kyra's kite she got for her birthday.  Auntie then came over and got rid of Ryder's wingding piece of hair.  It was just a mini haircut!!  I'll have Ryder's 9 month pictures to post soon.  Kyra will also be getting ready to go to a gymnastics camp so I'll post some of those pics too!

My how 3 years flies!!

Can Kyra really be 3 years old?  Yes, yes she is.  Time has flown!  I took Kyra last weekend to Party City to pick out what kind of party she wanted to have.  After a long debate between Barbie and a girlie lipstick, high heal ish kind of theme, she chose Barbie.  Luckily, I have a fabulously talented mother in law who can make amazing cakes.  She made a stand up Barbie cake for Kyra, along with some cupcakes.  I also made a pie and some homemade chocolate syrup for our ice cream.  We got together Friday night with the Leman clan to celebrate and with my family Saturday night.  We had a good time filled with generous gifts, treats, and a pinata.  Thank  you to everyonen who came to help us celebrate.  Here are some of my favorite shots from our little princess.

Christmas festivities

Well, the craziness of Christmas is over!  We had a good time celebrating with our families and our house is almost back to normal.  The last couple of days have been nice to just relax, play games, and get things organized.  We only have a few things we need to return/exchange before heading back to work.  We hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Wreath Making

Well, Bart is gone until Wednesday for work so we decided to make wreaths.  Dad came out and watched the kids while Mom, Lys, and I made wreaths.  Ryder had shots today so he was a little grumpy!  We had a good time and our wreaths turned out pretty good.  Here are a few snapshots from the craft projects.
